These letters probably refer to the maker of the token, NCR and Co. in Birmingham.

The letter 'BIRM' suggests it was made in Birmingham.

I'm not sure of the date as they are made later in the Victorian period too.

The 'spade' guinea was extensively copied in the 18th Century and imitations such as this one were often used for advertising purposes or as counters for gambling.
